The Hamm's Brewery Project is an ambitious community-driven plan to transform an underutilized former industrial site on the East Side into a vibrant and walkable community asset for the entire neighborhood to enjoy.
The Hamm's Brewery project will restore the vitality of this historic neighborhood landmark by bringing new neighborhood amenities such as a commercial marketplace, affordable housing for families, restored historic buildings for artist-style loft housing, and community gathering spaces indoors and out.

Public Benefits
Affordable Housing
This development will add 196 units of affordable housing for individuals and families with low to moderate incomes. This includes 110 units of family-friendly new construction and 86 units of artist loft style units in the historic brewery buildings. The housing will be affordable for individuals and families at different income levels and with different housing types to serve a range of needs.
Historic Preservation
Renovation of the remaining brewery buildings recognizes the significant contribution the Hamm's Brewery made to the development of the East Side. Reusing these spaces can help revitalize our community's future.
Commercial Marketplace
The marketplace will include neighborhood-serving shops and restaurants that capitalizes on the historic brewhouse and makes the most of its soaring ceilings and grand spaces. It will serve nearby residents with convenient access to everyday needs and showcase neighborhood entrepreneurs who want to launch or expand their business and serve their community.
